JLI-Boston considers the ethical and professional handling of confidential information to be critical to its continuing ability to identify and attract the plastics industry’s best people into its clients' organizations. Release of Resumes and Personal Information As a matter of policy, JLI-Boston does not "float" resumes, nor does it "market" candidates to our clients or non-clients. If you're a plastics professional who has submitted a resume to our office, this information is not released to any third-party until we have had an opportunity to (1) speak with you about your professional background, accomplishments, and ambitions, (2) discuss the details and market context of a specific current opportunity in our client's organization, and (3) make a mutual determination of fit for and interest in that specific role. Once this is accomplished, we then begin discussions with our client about your candidacy...always with your advance knowledge. If you are also submitting your resume to other recruiters, especially franchise "agencies", be sure to check their release policy before sending your resume. Use of Company e-Mail Systems We strongly recommend against the use of company e-mail systems to transmit resumes and other personal information to our offices, unless company management is already aware of your plans to leave the company. Despite common perceptions to the contrary, corporate e-mail systems are not completely private and may in fact be set up to scan for e-mail body text or attachments containing such cryptic words as "resume" and "job search". Whenever possible, use a personal (or friend's) e-mail account to send resumes to our offices, if privacy is a concern.
